I’ve spent most of my career figuring out why people care about the things they care about—and how to keep them coming back for more.

 

Sometimes that’s meant building digital audiences for media companies. Sometimes it’s meant launching projects that probably sounded like weird ideas at the time—like starting a podcast about the ’80s back in 2005, before most people even knew what a podcast was.

 

That show, Stuck in the ’80s, somehow turned into a 20-year run, hundreds of interviews, a global audience, a pile of awards, and eventually a book. Along the way, I’ve talked to rock stars, VJs, actors, and the people behind the pop culture that stuck with us. But the real through-line has always been the audience—the people who show up, episode after episode, because something about it feels familiar.

 

Professionally, I’ve worn a lot of hats: writer, editor, digital director, content strategist, reluctant project manager. What ties it all together is that I know how to take an idea, shape it into something people actually want, and then grow it—whether that’s through content, SEO, social, partnerships, or just understanding what makes something worth clicking on (and sticking with).

 

I’m at my best when I’m building something: an audience, a voice, a system that makes content better and more consistent. I like figuring out what works, fixing what doesn’t, and adapting before things get stale.

 

Also worth noting: I care about this stuff. Probably more than is healthy.
